With homelessness growing and construction costs increasing, Fauzia wants to bring a fresh perspective to the state’s housing issues. Homeownership is a necessary building block to wealth and feeds our local economy, but it should not be out of reach for many families.
With retirements looming and a dire need to prepare the workforce, Fauzia served as the water board representative for Division 5, seeing firsthand how an essential service like water treatment and operation needs workforce development programming to sustain the growing needs of the industry.
As a nonprofit leader, Fauzia has seen firsthand the needs of the region’s veterans, from housing to workforce, and is committed to providing support and improved services to those who served our nation.
As a mother of three, Fauzia understands firsthand how valuable the public education system is to creating safer communities and empowering our youth to achieve their goals and fulfill their dreams. Therefore, she is committed to advocating for broadband access for students and maintaining total funding for our schools.
As a business owner and nonprofit leader, Fauzia understands that small businesses power communities and uplift families to create a greater quality of life. She wants to help small businesses expand from micro-grants to tax credits while growing entrepreneurship.
